Services:
Supported Employment is tailored to fit the support needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. Oregon’s Individual Support Planning Process is used for establishing long-range goals, while identifying special needs and associated services necessary for preparation, training, and maintaining gainful employment. Supported Employment may be available to people receiving either services through County Developmental Disability Programs, or a Support Service Brokerage - and who have funding available for supported employment services. Referrals are required to apply for these jobs and services.
Specialized Employment may be available for people with a documented, severe disability that prevents them from obtaining and keeping competitive employment elsewhere. Specialized Positions are available at various Shangri-La businesses and are posted on the Jobs page when openings are available. To apply for a Specialized Employment position simply complete an application and submit documentation of disability. Specific requirements for documentation, as well as examples, are included in the Specialized Employment Application packet.
